Hi,
I'm a professional IT engineer with zero experience in publishing. A friend of mine who happens to be an author contracted a printing press to do typesetting and publish his books (hard copies). They only provided him with PDF files of his books and he wants my help in publishing these in electronic format.
The PDF files I received from him was created in a typesetting system called (3B2 Total Publishing). I tried using Acrobat XI to convert one of these PDF files to DOCX but to my surprise the document came out without any content but static images. I'm suspecting the reason to be the fact that Acrobat couldn't identify the 3B2 fonts. I'm not sure.
So, any idea how to proceed with such conversion? The content of these books is written in Arabic.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
