Seitenübergänge im pdf

$

Vielen Dank.

Random letters appear after saving PDF file

$

Hi all,

One of my colleagues has found that after saving a PDF document and re-opening it some of the text is randomly changed. She works in Acrobat Pro XI.

In one instance some of the numbers had changed to decimal places (full stops).

In another instance certain numbers had simply disappeared (example: 126 - 128 became 16 - 1, the 2 and 28 disapeared).

In yet another instance text and numbers were being replaced with capital "A" letters and apostrophes.

It seems that in all of the instances the changes are confined to a particular text box that has been copied and pasted throughout each of the documents. By this I don't mean that the textbox started in Doc1 and was then copied into Doc2. Rather I mean there is a textbox that is copied and pasted onto various pages of Doc1 and a separate textbox that has been copied through multiple pages in Doc2 and so on.

Has anyone come across this problem before? I tried searching for similar cases to no avail, if anyone can point me in the direction of a similar post please don't hesitate.

Otherwise what do you guys think I could do to avoid these problems occurring.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Kindest regards

Hey,

I am getting "Acrobat could not compare the document completely. Do you want to see the report anyway?" error.

Before it was working fine but after upgrading to windows 10 it stopped working.

Operating system: Windows 10 Pro

Acrobat version: Adobe Acrobat XI Pro (11.0.17)

Under File->Properties->Description->Advanced->PDF Producer it says "Python PDF library - http://pybrary.net/pyPdf/

After selecting first document it will automatically select "Presentation decks, drawings or illustrations" but it should stay on "Reports, spreadsheets, magazine layouts".

I have tried reinstalling Adobe Acrobat DC Pro but it didn't help.

It works if i open pdf with word and save it as pdf but our client doesn't want to make those steps, because it worked before.

Possible to modify Optimize for Web Action?

I'd like to create an action, using Action Wizard, that would allow me to downsample all imagery to 72dpi and apply a medium quality JPG compression. I am using both Acrobat DC and Acrobat 11, and neither seem to let you specify the compression settings within Action Wizard.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Right clicking and choosing convert to PDF

When I right click a file and choose "convert to PDF", a window opens showing progress.  The progress barely gets started and the window closes.  No error message, no PDF file.  Sometimes the window flashes on the screen too fast to read.  Windows 10 pro 64 bit, Acrobat XI Standard.  This happens with Word, Excel, and text files.  I can print to PDF from Word, and it works fine.  Any Ideas ?

Create from webpage -> out of memory

$

I was running Acrobat 2010 on Win10 and created a pdf from webpage.

This 'out of memory' error came up. I could save the file (up to the error): it was only 65MB.

I thought I was back in the eighties!

Installed DC 2015 hoping it was fixed.

NOT!

I could save the file (up to the error): it was 250MB. Not small but still a lot smaller than the image files I work with.

I downloaded the html files: all of them is only 165MB. Converting 165MB should not be a problem in the 21st century.

Any solutions?

Out of memory issue while creating PDF from webpages

I am running Acrobat DC (15.006.30060) on Windows 8.1 and trying to create PDFs from webpages. I've had success with some sites while others I continually receive an out of memory error with Adobe after hours of scanning.

Things I've tried to fix:

-disabled scanning multimedia - still crashes at the same point

-Repair installation

-Cleared TEMP folder/files

The computer has 8 GB of RAM and I've never seen Adobe utilize more than 1.5 GB while running. Any help is appreciated.

Links with Umlaut

$

Dear all,

I created a Microsoft Word document with links to files and folders (which are stored in a network drive, S:\). This document is published as PDF within our Intranet. We use Internet Explorer (11) für browsing, and files are opened with the Acrobat PlugIn within Internet Explorer.

If the folder or file contains an Umlaut (ä, ö, ü, which is quite common in Germany, where I live), all links to files or Folders with an Umlaut are not working: only an error message appears.

When I open he identical file directly with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (2015 version, Classic, 2015.006.30094), all links are working. All links are also working when inserted in the URL bar in IE. I assume there is a bug with the ActiveX control (version number 15.6.30060.147031).

Can you confirm this behaviour? Or do you have Workarounds?

I know we could change the behaviour of opening PDF files directly in Acrobat - but this is not an option as we also use LC-Designer for creting PDF forms and we need the preview withion LC Designer to test our forms - and so the Option "open PDF in browser" has to be set.

I would be glad if anyone can give hints or Solutions.

Thanks in advance

Best

Dietmar

Generating PDF files in server environment

Hello, was wondering if one of the Adobe products provides the means to automatically generate customized PDF files on the fly for our online customers, populated with fields drawn from our online database.  This would occur in a JavaScript / PHP hosted server environment.  If not, any ideas for how best (easiest!) to accomplish something like that?  Thank

Dear all,

I want to save a webpage and its sub-docs as pdf with latest (trial) version of acrobat DC pro 2015: www.törn.de, but the software tries to download www.trn.de.

Is there any solution for this? It seem to be a major bug for a so called pro software.

Can't create pdf file with font calibri bold

$

I'm trying to create a PDF file from WinWord with font "Calibri bold" with print to Acrobat. I get error "Adobe PDF printer failed to create the PDF file." I get this error since a few weeks or month.

I am using Windows 10 with latest updates, Acrobat 9 Standard

This is the log output:

%%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%%

Calibri-Bold not found, using Courier.

%%[ Error: invalidfont; OffendingCommand: xshow ]%%

Stack:

[97 90 45 45 98 65 0]

(       )

%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%

%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

What I have tried to solve this issue:

- this issue occure only with the Calibri bold font. With Arial font all is ok. I reinstalled the Calibri font.

- If I generate a pdf with "save as" in word the pdf will generate without an error.

- I looked for my latest created pdf's with the Calibri bold font. The youngest pdf I found was from 17-May-2016

Thanks for help

Franz

AutoCad 2014 64bit PDFMaker ignores drawing CTB settings

$
0
0

In previous versions of AutoCad and Acrobat the PDFMaker would respect the drawing's CTB.  The output PDF would look the same as a file printed to PDF using the PDF system printer.  This does not work in DC.  The converted PDF appears to be a direct conversion using all colors and line weights as displayed in paper space.

We need to use the PDFMaker plugin as our workflow requires significant layer organization beyond the capabilities of the native AutoCad dwg-to-pdf conversion.

We have also tried opening the DWG file directly in DC, but DC crashes every time after it attempts to open AutoCad in the background.

We are using AutoCad 2014 64bit on Windows 7.  Acrobat Pro DC with all updates.

Is there some setting that we are not finding, or is this just broken?

Thanks,

Marc

non-connected computer - html to pdf

Can an Adobe Acrobat product (reader, pro, plugin to web browser, etc.)  produce a PDF file from an HTML web page or file?

i.e., Chrome, Firefox, IE, etc + Adobe plugin + Adobe XXXX product can, OFFLINE, render or print-to completely offline (no network)??

I see that we can download a full installer to install to a non-connected computer (no internet).

I assume the plugin to Chrome, etc could be downloaded, clicked and made available on the offline computer

PC, windows 7 is the target
