I made a portfolio with combining different pdf files.
I make use of the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.
Now, it seems no one can view or open the portfolio?
The message is to install Adobe X or higher.
Strange enough, the latest reader is already installed!!
So, this message makes no sense...

I have Adobe Standard and Pro. I am trying to create a document from scanner. Scanner document pulls file into reader and reads the whole page. When it is processing into adobe, it crashes with " An unrecoverable error occurred. Operation stopped."
Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?
When trying to convert any file to a PDF with Acrobat in Creative Cloud, I receive the following error:
Unable to open the document
Please check to see if you have read permission for the above file.
Before now, I have successfully turned my documents (mostly rtf files) into PDFs without errors for years. I have Creative Cloud and it happens on any computer for which I am signed into Creative Cloud, so it is not specific to a computer/laptop. Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this?

I would like to export a powerpoint file to pdf and would like to keep a special powerpoint animation (i.e., an image is flying into the slide) in the pdf. How can I do this ?

ich normalen Adobe Reader DC kann man das Anzeigedesign auf Dunkel stellen. Wo kann ich dies im Acrobat DC Pro einstellen?
Da ich auf die Pro Version umgestiegen bin, wollte ich auch Tabs nutzen der einzelen pdf Dateien in einem Fenster. Ich habe im Internet recherchiert wie dies einzustellen ist, aber im Einstellungsmenü unter Allgemein und dann in den Reitern rechts. Das Problem ist, ich habe diese Einstellung in meinem Acrobat DC unter Allgemein nicht vorhanden.

i have a large document (450 pages) created in MS word , A4 size. But printing company requires me to submit it to them with "bleed".
I know i can create bleed in MS word by enlarging the paper size.
However, i do not wish to reformat everything in MS word as (believe me) is alot of work if the alignment is out and paragraphs starts to auto flow from one page to another.
I imagine a feature that can allow me to do this : idefine a "larger than A4 size" PDF with page number and a header design that extended out of bleed area.
All i wish to do is to insert each page in the word (just the conent without page number or header) into this PDF template . and this template should also indicate the page number too as each page gets created.
I have adobe cloud (full suite) but not sure is there a tool that allow me to achieve just that.
Please let me know if you have a suggestion for me.

I am running adobe acrobat 9 and I don't see the Microsoft Office 2016 add-in within outlook. Is there a compatibility issue? I was able to find the .dll but I am unable to add it in.
When I attempt to combine PDF files, I get the following message: " Acrobat does not support the conversion of one or more of your files to PDF. Please remove these files or go to settings and choose the PDF Portfolio option." The Portfolio option will not allow me to do what I need to do!
Specifically, a version of Arial MT, and a version of Arial BoldMT. Other versions of these show up as embedded.
Don't know if it's even possible but I've filled out forms that look like it. I want to create a "Membership Application Form" that I can email someone, they can fill it out, save it and email it back to me.
We are a small non-profit volunteer organization and many people want to join us. We decided best for everyone to complete a membership application to begin the acceptance process.
I hope someone could guide me in doing this. Thanks!
Can Acrobat X Pro create a tab on the Word 365 ribbon? It didn't show up on the initial install, so I tried installing via the dll (file, options, add-ins, Manage Com add-ins, etc.) but it said it was incompatible.

Does anyone know what to do to avoid duplicating pages when creating a new document.
I am working on splitting a manual into 2 segments and I want to be sure I haven't accidentally
duplicated any pages. Is there an automatic recognition system that deletes or flags them?

I am getting really frustrated at paying for a premium product which just does not work. Acrobat DC and MS Word will not interface and work together. The COM addin for Word has never worked for me, irrespective of what Word version of Acrobat DC version I have been using - that's several years now. And every time I switch it on, Word crashes and it has to be disabled again.
Equally, the Create PDF process in Acrobat DC never works for MS Word files. I've just tried again today for 12 Word docs and as usual I get an error message and an offer to run repair mode. Repair mode never works either - fails every time.
My questions are:
I previously highlighted this by phone to Adobe support staff (maybe 2 years ago) and I ended up with a discounted CC subscription because the operator basically admitted that the two applications cannot be made to work together. Is this still the case? It can't possibly be!?
Genuinely sick of this.

when combining pages in Adobe I don't want to go on the web page but would like to stay in Adobe on my desktop. Where can I find that setting?
Why are some bookmarks blue and some grey? How can I change them to make them all look uniform? They seem to come up blue when I combine files into one PDF.

I used WIN7, Firefox and Distiller (11.0.2322 pro) to create PDF from WebSites and it works fine up to now. The problems started after an OS update to WIN10. The file size of the PDF doubles and Arial-BoldMT and ArialMT are now an "Embedded Subset". I think, that's the reason for the double PDF filesize.
I have cloned WIN7 to a new SSD and made an upgrade to WIN10 (no "clean" installation).
My tests:
- checked the filenames (ttf = Arial, PS = ArialMT) with FontForge.
- if I switch back to WIN7 (change boot order), the PDF was created without "Embedded Subset". (Arial Version 5.20)
- if I use WIN10 and modify the CSS to Verdana, the form was destroyed (Verdana is a little bit wider) but no "Embedded Subset" was created and the file size is OK - so I think, "Arial" is the problem.
- if I use "Helvetica, sans-serife" or "Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" in the CSS, Arial Version 7.00 was used, the file size is doubled and an "Embedded Subset" was created.
Any ideas??
