I'm trying to merge some word 2013 documents on a Windows 8.1 system with Adobe Professional XI. Also tried with pdf files, same error.

I should mention this is being done on a network path and will be tedious if I have to move everything to local hard disk and back again.

When using the right context menu or through the prescribed method by Adobe error popus up when merging.

I tried to check protected view and lower security on opening the application. Still not helping.

Anyone with similar issue know a possible solution?

Hi,

I entered data in all fields of the PDF file. I exported the data in a XML file. But there aren't all data in the XML file.

Please do you have an idea about this situation?

I am working on a Windows 8.1 using Adobe Acrobat DC Pro. I have been using the measurement tool to measure surveys and blueprints. Today I must have clicked some unknown quick key and turned off the outline that used to show up as I was working. How do I get that outline back?

Hi,

 

I need to send a large number of personalised PDF forms as email attachments and I want to edit the email message to include the recipient's details, eg. Dear <recipient name>

 

I'm using Acrobat DC and Office 2010, merging using Word from data in an Excel spreadsheet. The PDFs are all being created correctly, with the merge info included, and can be sent to the correct recipient but currently I can't work out how to include any personalised text to the emails themselves and can am having to address them "Dear Sir/Madam", which is a little unprofessional.

 

In the Email options I have ticked "Automatically send Adobe PDF files by email" and I can edit the message but I can't seem to add merge information from the data.

 

Can anyone help with this, or point me in the right direction? Searches are bringing up the same question but no answers and I can find nothing elsewhere online. I feel like I'm banging my head against a wall with this

Hello Friends,

 

I am using Acrobat 7.0 on Windows.

I have a pdf in which a code snippet occurs at 3 locations. I want to create a link to point to all of them.

This is what i have done so far :

1. I created the link to point to one of the instances of the code.

2. In the link properties, i selected "Go to a page view" and went to another instance of the code.

3. Then i clicked "Set link".

The next time when i click the link, it takes me to the latest destination that i added in the link properties. Here, i ponder how to

make the link point to multiple destinations ? I know that it's impossible to go to 2 different destinations at the same time but is there some way to go to them one-by-one ?

       And what for is the add button there to add multiple actions in the link properties ? More precisely, what is the purpose to add more actions in the link properties ?  Please make me clear.

When I do a save as other > Reduced size pdf,  it renames or re-numbers my pages in the pdf. Is there a way to get around this so it keeps the same page names as the original pdf?

I'm using Acrobat Pro XI 11.0.11

I'm experiencing a problem with the text appearance options under the button properties.  I can change the border color and the fill color, but no matter what I do with the font size or the text color - it will not take my changes.  When I close the form editing, all I have see is a blank box.  The button is there as I have applied a border to it, but the text does not show. It is stuck on white font, I guess.  Any suggestions on how to get the text changes to apply?

Using the trial version of Acrobat Pro DC.

I'm trying to edit the background color of a textbox I create or one that is already created in the PDF.

I've searched everywhere online.

Control + E doesn't pull up a preferences as mentioned in some articles.
I can change the font color, move the textbox around no problem.

I just can't figure out how to fill a textbox with a background color, or edit one that has a background color.

Help!

I'm trying to use the area measuring tool in Acrobat DC on a blueprint pdf I'm working on. The scale for the blueprint is 1/8"=1'. So I'm trying to change the scale ratio to .125 in = 1 ft to reflect that but it automatically rounds up to .13. Is there a way to prevent this from happening and keep the number as I intended without it rounding up?

The PDF attached to my email can be previewed. but to open it. I have to drag the PDF to the desktop.  There it opens when double clicked.

Does anyone else have an issue with not being able to select fields under the text field properties 'calculate' tab? This is a similar function as in Excel where you can SUM fields in your form (sum, average, minimum, maximum) where you physically check off the fields (in the properties 'calculate' tab under 'Value is the' function). It only works when you 'select all' or 'deselect all', but if you wanna do certain few fields the check off function does not work. I contacted Adobe twice, but they are completely useless. I used to have Adobe Standard 9 & it worked beautifully. In Acrobat Pro IX not so much.

I work as a copy editor, so I am in PDFs all day long. It's cumbersome and time consuming to have to re-click, say, the strikeout and replace tool each time I want to change something. Is there some way to keep a tool highlighted and in use until I choose a different tool? So far I seem to only be able to do this with the pencil tool. Thanks.

Can I change the settings so that the initial view is always "page only", rather than bookmark view, which forces me to close the bookmarks panel and reset the document to page only?
