New PDF from scanner

The Acrobat Pro DC action "Create pdf from scanner" is incomplete, each time i want to scan files, i have to manually specify " Multiple files" instead of the default one file", and i have to specify " Output folder". These two options should be integrated in the whole action.

Is there any solution to automate this action ?

Thanks.

Hello

I have created a MS Word document that i have converted into a pdf.

However, when i convert my MS Word document into a PDf, the images are not linked, and i don't see a hand icon when i mouse over the images.

I get an error invalidfileaccess when distilling a postscript file in Adobe Distiller XI

Below is the log after the failed attempt:

%%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%%

%%[ Error: invalidfileaccess; OffendingCommand: file ]%%

Stack:

(w)

(XSFT01.img)

/Fout

%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%

%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

Same postscript file distills fine in earlier versions so I'm thinking it has to do with the latest version of Adobe.  Tried the -F setting with no sucess.  Little postscript files are working just fine.

How can I make Acrobat Pro DC's toolbars like my Acrobat 11's toolbars?

I work for a large organization that is finally updating to Acrobat Pro DC. Am wondering if there is a way to make its user-customized toolbar look somewhat like the custom toolbar I've been using in Acrobat Pro XI?  I have tried DC at home and notice there is a lot less room for custom tools, and am trying to work as efficiently as possible.

Thanks.

Word and Excel for Mac 2016 don't work with Acrobat DC

I get an error message when I drag a Word or Excel doc onto the Acrobat DC icon, or when I include Office docs in a list of files to combine into a PDF binder.

I think the problem has to do with Office 2016 for Mac, not Acrobat, since this used to work fine when I had Office 2011 for Mac.

In fact, I still have the Office 2011 programs installed while I'm testing out Office 2016 for Mac, so I'm wondering if there's any way to tell the PDFmaker plugin to launch Word 2011 instead of Word 2016 (without completely uninstalling Office 2016).

I think I just wasted $24 with Adobe . . .

I'm glad now that I didn't invest in one of the more expensive Export PDF options.

When I try to export a PDF into a DOC or DOCX, it takes me to the pricing page where I bought the program in the first place. Every time, with any PDF file. When I try it online, it appears to convert successfully, but when I download it and try to open it in my OpenOffice, it shows a few lines to the first page, then nothing but blank pages.  I CANNOT GET ANY HELP, and I need this very much.

PDF from Autodesk Revit

When trying to create a PDF from Autodesk Revit (2017) using acrobat DC or Acrobat XI using the print to Adobe PDF function.   The file destination is on a second hard drive in my PC, not the root drive (C:) The first attempt usually does not generate a file, PDF, at all.  The screen does flash and shows a progress bar, nut nothing is created.  On the second attempt a PDF is usually generated and the progress window shows the sheet count as they are created.

I troubleshot this issue for 2 hours with Autodesk tech support.  We installed all updates for Revit and Acrobat.  Results are the same.

Please Help or help me escalate this issue,  I waste a lot of time not generating PDFs.

.PST to .PDF conversion problems

I am having a serious problem converting .pst files to .pdf's

I am able to successfully convert the .pst file, but the number of items converted is no where near the number of emails!

For example:

I need to convert a .pst file, so I add it to a new folder in my inbox.  This folder shows as having about 1250 items in it.

I then right click the folder and choose to export to a .pdf fill.

After choosing the location to create the .pdf, I am shown the "Creating Adobe PDF" popup window.

This window shows only about 630 items to convert.

Whats with the miss match?

Without knowing this I cannot confidently tell HR that the pdf contains all emails from the .pst file.

Please help!

Thanks!

Distorted Numbering in Multilevel list Header converting from Word

The numbering in my documents keeps distorting when I convert from Word to a PDF. It almost looks like its a different sized font, however its not. It appears it is changing the numbers into a picture - I have turned off convert headings to bookmarks as I thought this was doing it, but had no joy. It also prints distorted.

Why are my scans so pixelated?

I use Acrobat X version 10.1.16.

When I got my new Apple laptop about 2 years ago, and resumed scanning documents, first with my former Canon scanner and more recently with my Brother scanner, when I open the PDFs created by those scanners in Acrobat X, they appear terribly pixelated. I scan at high dpi counts, up to 600, but even the sharpest originals scan highly pixelated and print that way too. Can anyone help? I've tried everything, and even brought my laptop to an Apple Store genius bar and no one could explain.

I'm a lover of scanning and nice, sharp PDFs. Can anyone help me have them again? Thanks.

PDFmaker was unable to produce the Adobe PDF

We have a number of machines here that cannot use PDFMaker to convert Word files to PDF.

From Windows Explorer, we locate the Word file, right click on it and choose "Convert to Adobe PDF." An Adobe PDF Status window opens and we are prompted for where to "Save Adobe PDF File As." Leaving the default filename and location we click Save and the progress bar in the Adobe PDF Status window almost moves to the end but then we get this error:

---------------------------

Acrobat PDFMaker

---------------------------

An unexpected error occurred. PDFMaker was unable to produce the Adobe PDF.

---------------------------

OK

---------------------------

Alternatively, we open Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, click on File, Create, PDF from File... and choose the Word document. A status window shows in the bottom right corner saying "Starting the application which created the selected document. Please wait..." and then it's followed by the same error:

---------------------------

Acrobat PDFMaker

---------------------------

An unexpected error occurred. PDFMaker was unable to produce the Adobe PDF.

---------------------------

OK

We are using 2015 Release (Classic) Version 2015.006.30306 and Microsoft Office 365 Business version 1703 (Build 7967.2161 Click-to-Run)

Some internal links from Excel 2010 not pulling into PDF

I have a large Excel file with over 175 internal links as the table of contents. The link all work in Excel but when I publish as a PDF only some of the links work. I have re-created the links several times but there are always some that won't work. I'm not sure if this a known issue or if there is any workaround besides creating each link individually in Adobe, (not an option).  Thanks for any help you can provide.
