How can I convert different file types to PDFs then combine them into one PDF? It's common to get error messages especially when I try to convert excel spreadsheets to PDFs and try to combine them as one. Usually, I'm trying to combine Word Docs, Excel spreadsheets, Screenshots, and png/jpeg images. I'm using a MAC with osSierra.

 

It’s a long standing problem but it seems like Adobe states the same pad questions and answers. I would like a specific answer/solution instead of the run around. Thanks. I’ve reviewed the following webpages but to no avail.

Is it possible to make a secure pdf unsecure using Adobe Acrobat Pro?

 

Basically, I am trying to add text using the Edit Document Text tool, but I cannot and I believe it is because it is secure.

"This feature is not included in your current Acrobat license" pops up every time I attempt to use any feature of Acrobat Pro on my Mac. Is Pro no better than Reader or do I need to enable features somehow?

Below is the script that I used under "Document Will Print".  when I tested using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC it worked great. When I tested using Adobe Reader XI, the date did not show up, even though JavaScript was enabled.  Any suggestions?

(this has to be easier than what I'm making it!)

 

We have a 60+ page PDF, with several bookmarks, uploaded to our webserver. I trying to create an URL that, when clicked, will open the PDF to one of the bookmarks.

 

I've read through the documentation (https://www.adobe.com/content/dam/acom/en/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/pdf_open_parameters.pdf) from a few threads but something is not working correctly. What am I missing?

 

Here are two examples of URL I've tried:

 

www.webserver.com/my.pdf#nameddest=bookmarkname

www.webserver.com/my.pdf#bookmarkname

 

Neither are working

Using EXcel version 14.0.7212.500. I have applied shading to several rows. I then created a PDF of the Excel file. The shading did not display in the PDF. Please advise.

I recently replaced my PC and now run under Windows 10. I successfully reinstalled Acrobat. I have a Canon MF734Cdw multifunction printer. When attempting to create a PDF using the scanner function, I get the following message: "Either no scanner driver is installed or the scanner is not connected". I have no problem printing Word documents on the printer, but Acrobat apparently doesn't recognize my Canon printer as a scanner. This worked on the old PC, which I had to replace.

 

Is this an Acrobat problem or a Canon problem? How do I cure it?

word 2013에서 문서 작성 중 PDF 파일을 개체삽입(아이콘으로 표시) 함.

I used to be able to do this in older versions of Acrobat (I am now using Pro DC). I would add a text box, with a white fill and no border to white out whatever I wanted covered up. Then I would create the text I wanted somewhere else on the document, type the text, then drag it over the white box.

 

Now, the text I drag over defaults to being hidden behind the white text box. I try bringing it front, that does nothing. I wouldn't even need to create additional text, but the text box text color defaults to red and I cannot change that either. SO FRUSTRATING, especially since I used to be able to do this. Someone please help! Thanks in advance.

I have an application for customers that needs to have the text locked so that the text created in the document can't be modified by the customer.  But I need to have other fields in the file be fillable fields.  Can this be done?  Please and thank you!

When certain JPG images are used with the third-party library ABCpdf to create PDFs, the resulting PDF is readable in every non-Adobe PDF consumer. But Acrobat DC, Acrobat Reader, Illustrator DC, and perhaps other Adobe products report "There was an error while reading a stream."

 

As I stated, every non-Adobe PDF consumer can read these PDFs without issue: Chrome, Edge, Nitro PDF, xpdf, Ghostscript to name a few.

 

This is somewhat similar to the previous bug from 2015 Re: Why I'm getting "A drawing error occurred." when I try to create a PDF?  that was reported by another former member of my team; the error message is now different, and unlike the previous one which could be triggered from Create From File within Acrobat itself, this one only happens when PDFs are created with this library and then loaded in Acrobat.

 

This shared folder contains three images that do this; one PDF that shows the error; and one PDF made using Create From File that does not show the error.

Let's say I have a PDF with a different doctor on each page from a different department.

 

i.e.

page 1 - Cover

page 2 - Oncology

page 3 - Cardiology

etc...

 

I need to add some sort of hidden unseen keywords or text or metadata, to each page (not the metadata document) that can be searchable.

i.e. Someone opens the PDF and does a Find for "prostate", it would jump them to page 2 even though there is no visible text on page 2 that says "prostate".

 

 

I don't want to have text that just white because I don't want it to highlight the word when found.

 

I tried to add a form text box with the words inside it, but when i make it hidden, it's no longer searchable.

I have combined several pages into one pdf Binder.  Although all the pages were built on 8.5 x 11 inch paper, inside the combined pdf they are different sizes on the scree.  How can I achieve continuity between all the page sizes?

I am using Outlook 2010 with Acrobat x Pro (OS Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit). When I open a PDF file in Acrobat and use the Attach to Email feature, all seems to go well. However, the item does not trigger Outlook's Send and Receive feature, the email does not appear in my Sent Items folder, and the email is not received by recipent. My work arounds are (1) Create an email in Outlook and attach the file or (2) Right click the file name in Windows Explorer and use Send to Mail Recipent. My Acrobat version is up to date. Any suggestions?

Assembling pdfs, we normally select all single page pdfs, then add to acrobat, they USE to all fall in order ( folio) now they are out of order. Tried moving and soon as adding other pages, it fowls up again. ( goes out of order) Tried sorting by name it corrects, until I add another file. This use to be a problem back on version 7.0

 

Have not seen this till now. We work with 100's of pages per document all day and do not have the time to keep moving pages back into order.

I am working in Adobe DC Pro.

I am working in Adobe DC pro to edit a document. The document has these thick, bold lines throughout. How can I get rid of these lines, presumably caused by sizing issues.

I've been running Adobe Pro XI since June 2014.  In the past few months, Adobe Pro and Adobe Reader constantly crash.  My IT team could not find out why and they re-imaged by laptop only to have it start up again.  I have Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit OS.  At first the fix was restarting my computer.  Now that doesn't even work.
