I imported an existing doc to create a form from it, put all the properties I needed in the fields, and saved it as pdf. Worked great while still in Acrobat. Once I exit and try to access that pdf I created, the form fields are there but the properties I put in are not. And then if I go back to Acrobat and open the form from there, the properties I put in are gone there too. I thought the problem was that I had the trial version, so I just got it licensed (paid version) and am having the same problem. Have wasted many hours creating documents that keep getting wiped. Please advise. Thank you.

Is there a plug-in that will let you create new keyboard shortcuts?
For example, I'd like a keyboard shortcut to quickly open the bookmarks pane. (Ctrl+B opens the bookmark pane, but it also creates a new bookmark at the same time, which I don't appreciate.)

How to keep field from populating with default numbers?
It's hard to describe my question so I've included a screenshot of what I'm working on. In the third column, there is a calculation in each field's properties to take the number from field to the extreme left of it (in middle column) and subtract the number filled in to the field at the very top (in middle column). Trying to figure out how to make the numbers in right column that have not yet been calculated from showing a default (the -$10,000). I'd rather it not show anything until the fields it's supposed to compute are filled in. Or even showing zeros would be better. Is there a workaround for this?

Adobe Acrobat XI for mac, how to reverse pages in a pdf file and how to collate two pdf files into one
I scanned some large documents, which were two sided. Because they were printed on glossy paper, I could not scan the pages double sided. So I made two files, one file containing all the even pages and one file containing all the odd pages. Now I have two problems: 1. the pages in the even pages file are in the reversed order, so I need to reverse the order of all the pages in this file. Then I need to combine these two files (collate) so that all the odd and even pages are combined into one single file and all the pages are in the correct order.
In older acrobat pro programs (windows) I found a javascript file that could fix all this. However now I have Acrobat XI and I have a macbook pro, so now I'm completely lost. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Hidden page PDF file
Hello, I have a pdf file in which I can read almost every page, but in some of them appears a blank page with the next text "Hidden page". With the Adobe Acrobat Pro tools I could search for hidden information and there is hidden text in those "Hidden page". My question is: ¿How can I turn hidden pages into normal pages, so I can read the text that is there?

Is it possible to automate PDF compare process?
I am creating hundreds of reports monthly with InDesign and export as PDFs. What has been a pain in the A is that each month I need to manually check the PDFs to last months to see if anything changed, which mean I run pdf compare manually for all the reports. Is there a way I can bulk compare all the reports to last months or have it automated into a process so it does individual comparison automatically and just present the output as a result of comparison?

Hi everybody.
I created an pdf formulat with LifeCycle Designer. To use ovis pdf field merge, the formular needs to be saved as a pdf/e document. Acrobat wouldn't let me do this. It says: could not be saved, please use preflight to correct profile and so on. When I want to use preflight, acrobat tells me, I do not have the rights to take any action, because the editor didn't give any rights to me.
It's frustrating. Can anybody help?

Fonts substituted in PDF exported from InDesign
I'm looking for a solution to some fonts displaying improperly in a PDF when they look fine in InDesign.
I'm using Mac OSX, Acrobat 10.1.13 and 10.1.11 (updating didn't help) and Font Book is my font manager.
Fonts are not missing in InDesign and the fonts panel shows them as installed. But the problem fonts seem to be missing in Acrobat Properties/Fonts tab until I install them with Font Book. They all show as Embedded Subset.
For example, This is a screen shot from InDesign (ignore the frame edges):

The font is Carta (the boxes), but other fonts substituted a Sans Serif font for other text as well.
I cannot recreate the circumstances since I have now installed the fonts that were showing improperly. I guess InDesign can locate and display the fonts in the job folder, but Acrobat can't.
There doesn't seem to be any warnings that there is a font problem. Is there a sure-fire way to know when a font is being substituted in Acrobat?

Distiller produces text with crosshatch pattern
I have some old Postscript files that I just ran through Acrobat Distiller 10 (Mac). The resulting PDFs look fine on screen, even at high magnification. But when printed, all characters have a strange crosshatch pattern instead of being solid black. I don't see any Distiller settings that seem to affect this.
Nothing like this happened when the Postscript files were originally used for production. Would appreciate any suggestions.

cant save as a .jpeg from a .pdf in acrobat X
Simple as the title reads. I go to save as a jpeg and save it into a file and it never appears. Don't ever receive and error code or anything.
