I've worked in separate .indd files and export each file to PDF (version 1.3). When I merge PDFs in Acrobat, merget files is with changed version (probably default).
I tried to find where are settings in merging, but failed. Can you help me?
Editing a form with the 'Edit Document Text' tool in Acrobat Pro, I get different text character to the keyboard.
Keyboard is fine in all other programs.
The PDF was created by an unknown so I can’t say its not a pre existing issue.
All other edit functions are Ok
Fonts are the same ‘HelveticaNeue Light.
When I use the Edit Document Text tool I can select a large text box.
When I cursor the text that I want to edit I get 1/4 moon shapes highlighting the characters.
I can delete individual or all characters but when I replace with a key stroke I get similar to Wingdings.
Any body have a clue what is going on?
Thanks
Geoff
I am trying to extract the first 8 pages of a 128 page document using Acrobat X in Windows 7, and every time I click on Extract I receive a Bad Parameter message. Everything else seems to be working properly with the file.
Can someone please help
Hi,
I'm struggling to create a form in which a person will be able to add dynamic strings upon necessity. For example, in a process of filling a form a person wants to add an additional text string to be filled and saved further. Is there any feature or maybe a plug-in that may come in fit for this kind of need? Although, I know AdobeForms will be discontinued soon I will be very satisfied on finishing with least of my documents
Kind Regards,

When I updated a header on a PDF document, I noticed that headers on some pages overlapped with contents of the page. On the "Appearance Option" I checked "shrink document to avoid overwriting...". I saved the file but didn't like the result because it shrunk the pages and centered the shrunk pages. Is there a way to bring it back to original page size? This document is over 1000 pages.
Thanks in advance.
I have a 4 page PDF document made from a word file and I want to attach other PDFs to it and have links within the main PDF to those attachments. I need to be able to send to a group of people who do not have access to any server I can put the attachments on which is why I need to attach them to the main PDF.
thanks,
Dave
I have a Word 2013 file on Windows 7.
I started to "Save As PDF", but cancelled the process because it was taking so long. My Word doc is about 200 pages.
When I went back to work on the document, the Navigation pane showed seemingly random numbers prepended to each heading, and in some cases to paragraphs themselves. The numbers didn't seem to appear in the document body but there was a tiny small blinking dot.
Upon close inspection I found that the numbers were in 1 pt. font ZWadobeF.
I need to get rid of all the numbers.
It also appears that the file size was affected too. It is now a 200 page document that is 7.5MB.
On a tight deadline (of course) and need to resolve this ASAP.
Thanks
I've updated my software and printer drivers. I've switched between browsers, both Safari and Firefox. The same thing occurrs- I am unable to create a pdf from the print screen and name it and save it. How do I create a pdf from an webpage and be able to name and save?
Dear Acrobat community,
I would like to mark areas in a PDF where the client is required to place a signature. I am thinking about an colored overlay similar to a yellow text marker.
I have a license of Acrobat Pro 11 available and I am looking for the right function to use. I have not been able to identify such a feature yet.
Can you help me out with this topic?
Best regards
Hi Everyone,
I am receiving numerous "invalid color space" errors when viewing PDF files in Acrobat Reader (v 11.0.10) on Windows 8, but have not received similar messages when using Acrobat Reader (v 11.0.10) on Mac OSX 10.9.5. I will outline our environment and workflow below.
The PDF file is created via the export of an InDesign CC 2014 document. No errors show up on the preflight panel, and no warnings show up upon export. The file can be opened fine in the Mac environment with both Acrobat Pro 11.0.10 and Acrobat Reader 11.0.10. I can navigate through pages, print, and add comments in both applications.
When this same file is opened on Windows 8 it initially loads, navigates pages, and will allow a few comments to be inserted before showing an "invalid color space" error. If the error occurs during commenting, the comment will disappear, and I am no longer able to scroll through any other pages since the error reappears.
I would think that if it was file corruption the problems would be on both Mac and Windows. Any suggestions would be extremely helpful as all of my searches point to a non-Adobe product (as either the document source or PDF generator) as the culprit with this error.
Thank you!
This has probably been answered already somewhere here, but I can't seem to find a current solution.
I am using Windows 7 64bit Pro and Acrobat X Pro. When printing to a PDF from any source - word, excel, email, the PDF is created correctly, but my PDF Printer Queue shows a document print error and leaves the doc in the queue.
This wasn't happening before so I am not sure if it's a known issue that an update has fixed or something else. If there is another thread that has the answer, let me know. Or a link to the fix would be great! Thanks.
I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO ENCRYPT A PDF FILE. I HAVE THE PDF PACK AND ADOBE DOCUMENT SOLUTIONS. I LOOKED UNDER THE TOOLS TAB AND SECURITY TABS AND I STILL CAN'T FIND AN OPTION TO ENCRYPT THE DOCUMENT
There are drop-down lists of stored entries in the metadata Description window. How do I delete these lists? These are not document-specific; they are stored in Acrobat and I would like to remove them. Thanks for any help you can offer!
Background: I am using Acrobat Pro XI on a Windows 7 machine. I am trying to create a custom Action in the Action wizard to find SSNs, redact them, and then save the document. My action is set as follows:
* Mark Up Text Pattern
Settings: Markup SSN only, process all pages in document
Preferences: Highlight, Markup in red, Redact in black
* Apply Redactions
* Save
add _Redacted to file name, save as pdf in source folder
When I run my action, it highlights the SSNs in red, but does not redact them into black before saving. I have tried changing the color settings to make it highlight in black--when I do this nothing appears to happen in my document. The Full Report after the Action has been run shows this for Apply Redactions:
Command Name: Apply Redactions
Command Start Time: 2015-02-27 13:46:00
reportType: Warning
errorCode: 0
message: No unapplied redaction marks were found.
Command Status: Succeeded
Command Finish Time: 2015-02-27 13:46:00
The end goal of this process is to create a batch file with Evermap's AutoBatch plug-in and have a fully automated process that scans, redacts and saves our documents.
Has anyone experienced this issue, or know of a patch/workaround/something to fix this?

Using Acrobat Pro, I occasionally come across some documents that don't allow me to select a stamp. My stamp categories are not selectable and, although my Favorite stamps appear, they're not selectable either. Here is an example of a US government form #180 that I can't stamp: http://www.dd214.us/reference/standard-form-180.pdf
I subscribed to a trail service to convert files to PDf I have been turning in circles for along time. 30 days left How do I get what I want without having to pay I want to try it out but cannot.
I have heard that Acrobat has a report publishing feature that allows you to reuse the Combine Files functionality, so that when you want to recreate a report with updated files you can use a saved template rather than re-dragging the individual files into the Combine Files box. Is there any truth to what I've heard? If so, can you point me to instructions for using this feature? Thanks!
