How to convert multiple PDF forms into separate excel files using Acrobat 10/11?

$

I have a pdf form created with indesign cs6, and I want it to be so that when all the people who fills this form individually sends it to me, I can start e.g. a batch that converts all the pdfs into separate excel spreadsheets. (They need to be separate, as it will be fed into a program whoose system requires it to be this way)

As of now, there is a way to do this perfectly, but with only one pdf at the time (Tools -> Forms -> More Form options -> Manage Form Data -> Merge Data Files Into Spreadsheet)

There is also a crap solution to use on multiple pdfs, but the convertion fails drastically as no fillable textfields are included in the converted document, and it generally looks messed up when viewed in excel (Tools -> Action Wizard -> under "Output options" -> Export files to alternate formats -> and choose "Excel workbook" or XML spreadsheet)

So what should I do to get this done in acrobat 11?

I have googled this a lot, but I can't seem to find an acceptable solution!

Acrobat Pro X1, Office 2016 & Mac OSX Yosemite

Hope someone can help. I have had macbook for years successfully using adobe acrobat pro and office 2011.

Generally i will create several separate word docs, use the combine file in adobe feature and it will create a single pdf document no problem for with all bookmarks added.

Last week i upgraded to Office 2016, macbook & adobe are unchanged.

Now when i try to combine word docs into a single pdf,  i get an error message saying (from office) "the user does not have access privileges". The files dont combine and i have to quit the operation.

Also, may be related to this issue, when i "print as pdf" from a word document, it no longer calls the document its actual name, it simply wants to call the document "untitled".

I have called MS tech team who of course said its either an adobe issue or apple, well its never going to be a microsoft problem when you phone them, is it?

Any help would be appreciated.

    Set gApp = CreateObject("AcroExch.App")

    Set gPDDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.PDDoc")

    Set AVDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.AVDoc")

Can't restore PDF printer on Acrobat DC Standard in Win 7 64-bit

Been running Acrobat DC Standard (Classic) standalone since upgrade from XI in July 2015.  After last update (15.006.30060), PDF printer disappeared from Windows' list of printers.

Have spent hours on Acrobat fora and tried:

  1. Repair installation (both from Acrobat Help menu and Windows Add Remove software);
  2. Uninstall/reinstall Acrobat;
  3. Manually install printer (per Manually installing  PDF Printer) -- including running through that many times to try all the converters in the third from last step;
  4. Uninstalled, downloaded and ran "AdobeAcroCleaner_DC2015.exe", then reinstalled;
  5. Uninstalled, downloaded and ran "AdbeArCleaner_v2.exe" which, according to the docs, works for versions of Acrobat earlier than DC;
  6. Made Administrator account visible and logged in as Administrator, but don't see anything different.

Probably have done a few other things, too.  Really jammed up and, of course, on deadline.

Any ideas, please?

Thanks!

Please check if you have permission to write to this location and have sufficient disk space.

I am using Acrobat through Creative Cloud on a Mac. I am using the latest versions of everything.

The process I use to get this error is:

1. Create a PDF from a JPG.

2. Save the PDF.

3. File > Save As Other > Reduced Size PDF

4. Replace PDF

At this, point, I get the error message "Please check if you have permission to write to this location and have sufficient disk space."

I didn't used to get this. I have no idea what changed. I've done a Google search for the phrase and only two search results come up, neither of which helps. I've tried changing permissions, but have not been able to get anywhere.

Note: This only happens when I do this in the Mac's default "Documents" folder. If I do this on the desktop or anywhere else, it's no problem.

I have tried changing permissions for "everyone" to read/write, with no luck.

Any ideas?

Problem with interactive pdf with multiple pages and video clips

$

Hello.

I am trying to create a pdf file which allows people to view 11 separate video files, each approx 1 minute long.

There is no set order to the videos – people are free to click on any video they like.

I am creating the file in the most up to date version of InDesign CC (October 2015)

The structure at the moment goes like this:

Page 1– Welcome

Page 2– Menu of items showing 11 thumbnail pictures of video stills.

Each thumbnail is a Hyperlink through to another page in the document which has that video placed into it.

Page 3 through to 13– Each page has a video placed on it, with a hyperlink back to page 2 – Each video is set to play automatically when you land on the page.

The problem is, if you then click on the link to take you back to page 2 (Menu) before the video has finished, it keeps playing in the background.

It is possible to have all 11 videos playing at once! I know, I tried it.

How do I make the video stop as soon as someone clicks on the hyperlink to take them back to Page 2 (Menu)?

Alternatively, is there another way to achieve what I am trying to do?

Cheers, Andy

XI: Large PDFs, consolidating duplicate fonts, failed preflight and optimize

Hello all -

First time poster using Acrobat XI Pro 11.0.13 on Windows 7.

I've recently begun a huge project related to a legal matter where I am being asked to process each PST file into a single pdf with attachments included. I've got a piece of software which handles this fairly well but invariably some of the attachments fail to convert so I handle them manually and insert them into the pdf where needed. Right now a 350mb PST generated an 8000+ page pdf and I know there will be larger files. I'd also volunteer I don't work with Acrobat much at all so don't assume I know anything.

Software being used to produce the single pdf is called Total Outlook Converter Pro. The PDF Producer is Softplicity.

  1. When manually inserting attachments the first insert takes at least 20 minutes while it is Consolidating Duplicate Fonts. Not a big thing. Just takes some time. Following inserts take less than 30 seconds. Nuisance but no real problem.
  2. When trying to Optimize the pdf for file size issues and using all standard settings, it fails at the very end of the process with an AppCrash during Subsetting Embedded Fonts. See below for crash details and Optimize settings. I have the same issue when trying to a Reduce Size pdf save.
  3. When trying to run Preflight to address embedded fonts, thinking this may help the Optimize process, it fails at the end of the process. See below for details.
  4. After inserting attachments and saving the pdf, the next time I open it, even though there is No Security, I cannot edit/modify the file. Document and Document Assembly are both now set to Not Allowed and I cannot change them. Assuming it is perhaps because of one of the inserted files is bringing along some security settings that mess up the rest of the document?

How can I find the add-in I should have for converting Excel files to PDF's? I could convert before but now I can't since my last update and Microsoft says I am missing the PDFMaker or Adobe add-in. It is not in my add-ins anywhere how can I get it?

I already spoke to 3 Adobe techs that said that my error was because Excel and Acrobat were not communicating.  We uninstalled, cleaned and reinstalled Adobe 3 times and even changed back to Adobe XI and still got the same error from Adobe PDFMaker reading "an unexpected error has occurred. PDFMaker was unable to produce the Adobe PDF". Microsoft tech support helped me to go through there end and asked me to look for an add-in for Adobe or PDFMaker and there is not one on my end.  They sent me a web address that showed me what there was supposed to be an add-in which cannot be located on my side.  They said that perhaps Adobe could help me get the add-in.  Maybe this could help solve my problem.

I have already checked in Excel Add-ins as well as COM Add-ins and the Add-in that is supposed to show PDFMaker or Adobe that is on http://help.adobe.com/en_US/acrobat/X/pro/using/WSF09957C1-9B33-4561-A967-CD40C3157402.w.h tml#WS6889781F-5E65-4800-ACEA-AA026F7C8D34.w  is no where to be found.  I even had Microsoft help me to try every avenue possible to find this add-in.

Restrição de edição condicional a autenticação

Boa tarde,

Obrigado,

Arthur.

Can not delete a field that was created using Adobe Pro XI

I added a field when creating a new form and now it still shows a box but will not delete.  It goes away with preview and is not visible but changes the tab order.  It takes on the name of the last box that you selected.  I have tried several different ways to delete them but they are still there.  They are shown below of what they look like on the page.  The properties do not show anything out of the ordinary, but they will not delete.
