I'm pretty sure this used to work with Word, and I know it used to work with PowerPoint ... but after installing Reader DC it no longer does.
What's up?

I have created a number of templates for my team to fill and sign on site. However i want them to save them using different filenames and not overwrite the master template. Is this possible and if yes how?
The save buton that looks like a disc on the tool bar is greyed out and will not work. The only way I can save a document is "save as" and then go through multiple steps. I have unistalled and reinstalled the program multiple times with no luck. When I first bought the computer about a year ago it worked fine then one day stopped. I've been stuck with the problem for over 6 months
I've tried the security settings in adobe but nothing has worked
I've made PDFs before and added sticky notes, which I can go back to and read later. But this time around, when I added sticky notes and saved the document, later on when I went back the sticky note image was there, but I couldn't access any of the note itself. I thought maybe it had to do with an expired trial of Adobe Pro, but I've since upgraded and still can't read them.
I'm trying to optimize many PDFs for use on the web. What is the difference between:
Confusing!
I really just want to compress the PDF down so images are reduced for screen viewing (~120dpi) and anything else to make the file smaller for web delivery.
Thanks for any tips!
I am trying to create a portfolio using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. Although I have no problem in dragging and dropping the file I want into the portfolio I cannot arrange them in the order that I want - they appear in alphabetical order. When I try to drag them into the order that I want I get a "Can't do that" icon. Is it possible to rearrange the files in a porfolio?
Any help would be appreciated
Windows 7
Acrobat DC
First page is repeated the exact number of times as the number of files I'm trying to add. Any ideas?
Is there anyway to make Office 2016 64-bit compatible with Adobe Acrobat DC Pro PDFMaker?
I make PDFs of all my e-mails and this feature is sorely needed. Right now I have to use Nuances
PDF Converter Pro to do this. I prefer to use only one PDF program. Earlier versions of Acrobat
and Office did a better job than Nuance but I haven't been able to get the new versions of Office
and Acrobat to co-operate. Why can't Adobe keep this function on all versions of Acrobat?
Right side tool bar is annoying in Acrobat DC . How can this be fixed?
Hi everyone,
When opening a pdf file, I get the following error:
Cannot extract the embedded font 'QGCXJE+HelveticaNeueLT-Roman'. Some characters may not display or print correctly.
Does anyone know what it means and will it affect the printing when I send it to a printer?
Thanks for any help.
when I create from Excel spread sheet using Acrobat 9 Pro, the document looks a little smaller.
the paper size is same, but the margin in four sides went bigger than original Excel file, so the page looks shrank.
I assume there's somewhere i can control the degree of margin, but couldn't find.
How do I unhighlight text that was highlighted accidentally?
BTW I can't believe that its so ^%$#@& difficult to get an answer to such a simple question !!!
I'm doing a letter merge. When I save the letters to a pdf there is a blank page after each letter. I've tried saving as a word file first and then saving the word file as a pdf and I've saved directly as a pdf ... the word file is perfect, but the pdf always has a blank page after each letter. I've even, out of curiosity deleted a couple paragraphs to see if the letter was too long and triggering the second (blank) page ... and it still does it with the shortened letter. What is causing the blank page after each letter??? !@
I recently installed Acrobat DC (I was using Acrobat X) on a Windows laptop. I have tried editing documents to remove or extract pages, and cannot seem to find a way. It worked fine with Acrobat X. I have looked at different tutorials and posts, and I need to stop at step 1 "In the right hand pane, select the Organize Pages tool", as I do not see these tools, only Comment and Fill & Sign.
I've checked the document properties on multiple documents (including one that was provided on a tutorial) and this is what I see:
Anyone knows how to fix this ? It would seem that Acrobat DC is selecting the restrictions automatically ?
Many thanks in advance !
I have been trying to convert a PDF file to excel but every time I try to convert it the conversion fails. I am using the browser version and I have used both Chrome and Safari. I can't use Acrobat pro due to the fact that my work computer has a case sensitve drive and therefore I can't install it.
Since I updated Acrobat Reader I cannot link anymore a pdf document to my PowerPoint 2007 document :-(
Since the recent update to Acrobat DC Standard (V. 2015.009.20077), I can no longer edit / add metadata in the description tab of Document Properties.
Security is set to NONE.
Can someone tell me how to undo this unwanted change?
I always add the proper title, rather that keep the path title that is the default, and I always add key words, which is no longer allowed.
I would appreciate any advice on how to fix this annoying change

I work for a software company and we extensively use Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. I am running v. 11.0.13.
One of the functions of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro we have a need for is the ability to save a PDF as an image, specifically to PNG format and JPEG format. This is done by selecting File > Save As Other > Image > file format. I used to be able to save a PDF to PNG format in Windows XP, but I can no longer do this in Windows 7. I get a message that "Acrobat could not save a page in this document because of the following error: Error attempting to write to file. This may be due to insufficient disk space." This occurs even with the simplest document and when saving to a network drive that has plenty of space. I do not get this message when I select JPEG format. Furthermore, another developer who still has a copy of Windows XP on his machine is able to save to PNG format without any errors or issues through the process I described, using the same PDF file that I was trying to convert. Using Windows XP is not acceptable to us as a long-term solution as it is already an obsolete product.
Has anyone else seen this and, if so, have you found a remedy?
