"save as" pop up box does not allow me to save the document.
Hello ,
"save as" pop up box does not allow me to save the document. Shows a blank screen. Any idea what would cause this? I just purchased acrobat pro dc.

Get "no destination directory" when exporting as TIFF
Running Batch Processing in Acrobat 8 to export about 2,000 PDFs as TIFFs.
Save TIFFs in Original Folder.
Part way through I start getting a Warnings & Errors window stating:
"no destination directory"
Document: 0189.pdf (the actual PDF file name)
Command: Export all images as TIFF
Get this error on multiple computers.
This batch process has worked in the past, but perhaps not so many PDFs at once.
I have move the parent folder up the directory tree to reduce the total Path length.
It appears that all files have been processed and TIFFs are exported.
Is this really an error?

Convert PDF portfolio to single PDF file chronologically (ADOBE ACROBAT 11)
Hi, I have a pdf portfolio of my email archive which I want to convert to a single pdf file. The way I'm doing it is by adding the emails into one portfolio file and then clicking merge files into a single pdf, adding the portfolio into the box. This however creates a single pdf that is NOT in the chronological order of the emails that originally existed in the portfolio. Rather it is in alphabetical order of the subject of the email.
How do I combine emails to a single pdf file in the chronological order of the emails?

Removing Compatibility With Older Versions of Adobe Acrobat
I'm in the process of scanning hundreds of documents into PDFs using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5.5. I'm on the Mac running the latest version of El Capitan and finding that Preview 8.1, the built-in PDF viewer for OS X, is having difficulty opening up some of my scanned documents. Interestingly enough, its only ones that have color in them. Black and white scans open fine. I think this is an Apple problem though, and not what I'm here for.
Anyway, I went back to a PDF that wasn't opening and used Acrobat to remove compatibility to previous versions of Acrobat. I kept compatibility with "Acrobat 4.0 and later". After doing that the file opened up without issue in Preview. I noticed the quality of the new PDF degraded slightly when I removed compatibility. I imagine this is because Acrobat has to re-render the PDF.
Is there a way I can create a PDF from a JPEG that is only compatible with versions 4.0 and later? I'd rather do that at the beginning of my workflow, rather then have to go back and remove the compatibility and degrade the image quality.

Overwriting Text in Picture PDFs
Dear All,
I am always dealing with pdf files which are created by scanning a word document. Time to time I need to revise some words of these documents. They are not actual editable pdfs and I don't want to convert them to word file via Adobe or other 3rd party OCR programs because i don't want to loose the format of the document.
I used to have Adobe Pro 9 & X and I have found following solution to my problem; First I was drawing a rectangle full with white color from "Drawing Markups" and then I was adding text over white rectangle with Typewriter with the same font.
However after upgrading to Adobe Pro XI, I can not overwrite to the white rectangle with the typereader (or Add Text in the new version) The text that I have typed is always leaves behind the markup (white rectangle)
I can not fill white background of the Add Text box, and I can not prioritize it by bringing it to front from align menu.
Could you help me with this issue? Any alternative way to overwrite text is also appreciated.

I too am suddenly unable to create a form in Acrobat Xl v.11.0.07 from a document created in Word for Mac latest update c14.5.7. Here is the error message:
Acrobat was unable to make this document accessible because of the following error:
Knowledge source failed. <Gather Form Data> [1]
This problem just started in the past few days. I also experience it in an older version of Acrobat X.
I have uninstalled a trial version of Acrobat DC. I uninstalled my original Acrobat Pro XI and downloaded a clean copy and re-installed it. Still no luck. What is the problem?

Outlook email votes don't print on PDF
I am using Outlook 2007 to send emails with attachments and voting buttons turned on (i.e. Approve/Reject, Yes/No). The voting responses are logged on the Tracking Tab in Outlook. Then I want to print the email (with the votes) to PDF. In the email, I choose "Convert to Adobe PDF" from the Adobe PDF menu (hover over shows "Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin"). The PDF that is generated does not show the Tracking Tab results. Has anyone else experienced the same problem?
My current workaround is to print (like I am going to print to a printer), and choose "Adobe PDF" as the printer. That shows the Tracking Tab votes, but does not retain the email document attachments as PDF attachments like the other method does. I wish there was one way to accomplish both!

Acrobat X Pro: after opening a document screen freeze. New installation does not solve the problem
I use Acrobat X Pro as part of Creative Suite WebDesign CS6 (with Windows 7 Pro). Since some weeks Acrobat crash and the screen freeze latest about half a minute after opening a pdf document. Shut down the program and new start didn't help. A new installation of Acrobat X Pro or the whole Creative Suite including new start of the computer did not solve this problem. Therefore I don't know what I can do. Can somebody give me a tipp.
If I try to print a pdf from Word or f.e. google earth the process sticks and the program from which I try to print also freeze.

PDFs opening in tabs in one window all of a sudden? How to disable?
Recently adobe updated and now every time I open up a PDF it just starts a new tab within the same window and I have to drag it out to create a seperate window. This is incredibly inconvenient so is there a way to revert back to opening up a pdf opens up it's own individual window?

Selecting text causes beachball to appear
In Acrobat Pro DC and as well in the preceding version of Acrobat with CS6, selecting text to edit with the mouse results in the spinning beachball after about 3 seconds.
There is no hang and with the mouse button down the selection can continue to be changed, but the beachball remains until the mouse button is released. As can be imagined, it is harder to make precise selections when the beachball is showing instead of the selection cursor.
This is on OS 10.11.1 but the behavior was the same on preceding OS versions going back to at least Snow Leopard, I think. Machine is a MacBook Pro 2.3 GHz i7 with 16gb ram. I am using a Wacom Intuous 4 tablet as my mouse. Wanted to include a recording but discovered that the beachball doesn't show up on screen recordings from Quicktime Player.

Up until the so new upgrade I could save a pdf as a jpg or png file so I can post to our website...with this "Upgrade" I now cannot change anything on my website.

Help with open text box field in Acrobat 11 pro
Is there a way to set so the text box so it will expand to accommodate the amount of text. I did not check the box on limit character count - but this does not give the desired result. You get a scroll bar and the text is outside of the box. When saved and printed - you only see the text that is in the open area of the box. The content below when scrolled down does not appear or print.

I am using Acrobat through Creative Cloud on a Mac. I am using the latest versions of everything.
The process I use to get this error is:
1. Create a PDF from a JPG.
2. Save the PDF.
3. File > Save As Other > Reduced Size PDF
4. Replace PDF
At this, point, I get the error message "Please check if you have permission to write to this location and have sufficient disk space."
I didn't used to get this. I have no idea what changed. I've done a Google search for the phrase and only two search results come up, neither of which helps. I've tried changing permissions, but have not been able to get anywhere.
Note: This only happens when I do this in the Mac's default "Documents" folder. If I do this on the desktop or anywhere else, it's no problem.
I have tried changing permissions for "everyone" to read/write, with no luck.
Any ideas?
