I eagerly awaited the update to Acrobat XI Pro so that I could get my Create PDF Extension back in operation. I make heavy use of it, so I feel like I'm missing a body part without it!
Unfortunately, the update doesn't appear to have fixed the problem. Firefox 43.0.4 still shows:
I followed the instructions posted by johnk90178351 (in
) (exit Firefox, reboot, restart Firefox, click "More" and then "Enable"), but I never see an "Enable" button.
I then followed Adobe's workaround instructions at Acrobat DC add-on is disabled in Firefox 43 or higher. Still no luck.
However, after inspecting the directories noted in the article above, I'm wondering if the update didn't fully install the extension. Here are the files I see:

Note that a lot of the files in the Firefox folder are from 2013! Why would the updater not touch them? Or do they no longer matter?
