Saving a PDF as a Word file

I just upgraded to Win 10 and I get the following message when I try to save a PDF to a word format "The specified file could not be written to.  It may be in use."  Has anyone else gotten this message and is there a fix?

"Error occurred when trying to access this service" When trying to save to Document Cloud

Hey Guys,

I'm using the current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, the free, non-pro version. It's the latest version of the software (Ver: 2015-017-20053). I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64x. I have an account, and each day I see my name in the upper right-hand corner. When I click the pull-down triangle next to my name, it shows two options, My Account and Log Out. I'm reading a PDF Textbook that is password protected against copying. The only changes I'm making to the PDF are highlighting some text and adding sticky notes. I can easily save the changes (highlight passages as I read the book) locally to my hard drive. That's not the problem now.

So, now that we've set set up the background, here's my problem:

About 80% of the time over the past month when I try to save the PDF to the Document Cloud, I receive the message "Error occurred when trying to access this service". I've tried various ways to save the PDF; clicking the little cloud with arrow, (Shift+Control+W) and I even try going to File and Save As then choosing Document Cloud. But none of them work. I can log out and log back in, and I still receive the error message. And it's always after I've watched the grey progress bar "Saving to Adobe Document Cloud" progress from 1% slowly up to 100%, then "Virus Scanning...", then the error message appears or the "Saved Successfully". As I've said, must of the time it's the error message. I think the issue might be at Adobe with their virus scanning software as when the saving progress bar reaches 100% and the "Virus Scanning..." only flashes quickly, I get the error message. If the Virus Scan runs for about 5-10 seconds, I'll know the document has been successfully saved to the cloud.

I've tried logging out and back in and also uninstalling and reinstalling. I still have issues saving to the Document Cloud.

Any help you can give would be appreciated

Thanks,

Steve

PDF's are not opening when double clicked on a mac...

Hey, I recently installed CS6, and all was working fine. So I thought...

But today I tried double clicking a pdf I received on an email and it looked like it was going to open fine like normal but it didn't.  I restarted my machine thinking it needed a restart.  Still didn't work.  Tried other pdfs still nothing. I have always had Adobe Acrobat Pro X on my laptop and never had a problem.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have seen this question previously answered in regards to a window laptop but not a mac.

Please help ASAP, it is very annoying!

Thanks

scripy to create jpg from pdf with page number and code appended to filename

I have only occasionally used acrobat scripting, i pick it up and then drop it so it is forgotten in no time.

I need to export as pdf as a jpg with a variable code entered via a dialog etc(eg. Test) and the page number (ideally in format with lots of leading zeros ie 00001) with the bookmark for that page eg."BookmarkName1" appended to the end so the end result would be

Test000001 BookmarkName1.jpg

Test000002 BookmarkName2.jpg

etc etc

Could some bright spark show me the code to do this? I could sling you a few bucks for a beer.

Sometime last week (after an update to acrobat pro dc) when i attempt to create a pdf by using [File-->Create--> From File] acrobat now wants to first upload the file to the cloud before it will make the pdf,. I really don't need to involve the cloud in this at all, i can't seem to find a way to do this without the file first uploading to the cloud. Does anyone know how i can prevent this?

I need some help please.

My Adobe Acrobat Pro fails to load.  I get an error box that says "Acrobat failed to send a DDE command".  I am using Windows 10 on a Dell XPS desktop.

Adobe Reader and Photoshop still work as before.  Only Acrobat fails to load.

I have Adobe Acrobat XI installed on a Windows Server 2008R2 running Citrix.

Opening any file and using Save As or the Adobe add-in works to create PDFs.

However, when right-clicking on a file, an error is generated and the PDF is not created.

With Word files the following error is shown:

With Excel files it is this message:

We have tried repairs, as well as a complete uninstall and reinstall, but the problem persists.

This happens whether logged directly into the machine or connecting through Citrix.

Please help.

Password protect multiple files in Adobe pro DC

$

Hi,

I used to be able to password protect all files in a particular folder on my Adobe 9 Pro by using batch processing. I've followed instructions on how to do this in DC using the Action Wizard but cannot get it to apply the password at the folder level. Whenever I try and apply the password it prompts me for passwords for each individual file within the folder. Has anyone an idea of where I'm going wrong?

Thanks

unable to view table in adobe reader, created by autotable jspdf

Hi,

I have created a pdf about 5 pages long. This is created in an IOS application where user signs the contract and is saved as a pdf file.

Now this contract has a table three columns and four rows (I can't post it here due to data protection).

The pdf saves perfectly and when we view this file in an Internet browser like Chrome or iE everything is fine.

The problem is although when we open this file in Adobe Reader the table mentioned above does not appear.

I have tried searching the internet but can't find anything. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Many Thanks,
