right click combine

We just paid $449 for the latest version of Acrobat on a new computer and find that a time-saving feature we use often is missing!  In older versions, we could select several files we want to combine into one PDF (left click and Control), then right click and find a menu option "combine selected files in Adobe Acrobat).  How do we get this back?  I'd just as soon uninstall the new version as be without this functionality!

Redacting PDF Documents

Hi - I am redacting a document.  I clicked the "Mark for Redaction" in Tools/Protection.  Usually, the redacting tool appears as cross and I am able to redact the section I want to.  Once in awhile the redacting tool changes to - without me doing anything - to what appears like an open book.  This redacting tool redacts each word separately and sometimes skips text that I need to redact.  Is there a way I can switch the redacting tool back to the cross.

I am redacting a document which is a form with handwriting on the document.

Right click to Combine no longer combines Word Files

The function works to combine PDF or even TXT files

Any group of files with WORD DOC, DOCX, RTF files will fail if I select them and choose "Combine files in Acrobat"

The combine screen opens but then after I click Combine Files it beeps and says Error during processing (file skipped) then when its completed the screen gets an error "No PDF file was created because Acrobat encountered an unidentified error"

Windows 7

Adobe Standard XI (11.0.17)

Office 2010 SP2

Originally we had Office 2013 running on this computer and the combine worked

We had other issues with Office and removed 2013 completely and reinstalled the original version of 2010

Since then this function does not work.

I have turned off security and ran repair installs on office and adobe standard

Please advise.

Edit Save As file path with text, NOT dropdown

I am using Adobe Acrobat 9.0.0 Pro. When I try to "Save As" a document, I am unable to edit the Save In folder by typing or pasting in the path -- I can only get around by using the dropdown function. I am always changing save folders to remote places in my company's network, and it takes about 20+ clicks to get to the correct folder. Surely there is a way to edit the file path manually?

Also, just to clarify -- I am not looking to change the default save folder, which is the only type of similar question I found with a Google search. I always save in different folders far away from each other.

I am attaching an image of Windows Explorer's file path bar, which can be edited, then an image of Adobe Acrobat's file path bar, which is only editable by dropdown (as far as I know).

I am trying to bulk convert .tiff files into PDF using adobe standard version 2015.006.30033, However i keep getting errors on certain files. The only thing i could see different is that the files producing the errors have jpeg commpression. Does anyone have any experience with this or have run into similiar problems. The error says the file can't be opened or corrupt. Interestingly enough if i open the file individually it will open and i  could print the file to PDF. TIA

Cannot save PDF as reduced file size. Help!

Hello,

I am using Acrobat XI (Version 11.0.07) on both an iMac and a MacBook Pro.  Both are 2015 models, top spec running OSX El Capitan.

I have always been able to create PDFs and then save them as reduced size PDFs.  However, every time I now try to save a PDF as a Reduced Size PDF I get a Conversion Warning window popping up saying "Please check if you have permission to write to this location and have sufficient disk space."

I get the same message on both computers.  I am the only person that uses them, have full administrator permissions and there is more than enough disk space on them.  I can still create original PDFs in Acrobat.  It just won't let me save them as smaller files.

Any ideas anyone?

Many thanks in advance...

Nick

Acrobat recovered previous document, but then it disappeared!!!

Acrobat recovered my previous document, and I verified that it had my changes, but then some other Acrobat license or agreement screen popped up and my recovered document disappeared and I was prompted with the file open dialog. I have looked, it is not in the "windows" menu list, nor is the recovered file in the previous documents list. I previewed the original file but it does not have my changes saved. I have not closed Acrobat yet, please help me locate this recovered file! I'm on Mac.

I have a multipage document that I needed to add text on one page.  DC automatically begins to convert the document to text when you click Edit PDF.  How do turn this option off?  It is really annoying.

Using win 10, Upgraded office 2010, to office 365..  lost the ability to convert an excel to pdf.  In adobe acrobat std, there is the "convert to" preference listing and excel is not in there, see attached.  I attached a second pic and that show right clicking an excel fiIe should give you the combine or convert option. checked another pc and the ms excel is in the preference list.  I had also updated adobe to  acrobat DC 2015 (the latest release) and didn't fix it.  Microsoft is not really sure what the issue could be, so I thought I would see if anyone else had this issue.

The convert to pdf, does work in word and power point.  so excel is the only

PDF hyperlinks stop working

$

I have created an editable PDF that includes hyperlinks that other users access and save to a new location. When you open the PDF from it's original location, all of the hyperlinks work.  When you save the PDF to a new location, all of the hyperlinks continue to work except for two of them, despite the fact that all of the links lead to Word docs that are in the same folder on the server and saved as the same version of word.

Something I have noticed is that the displayed path changes on the links that don't work.  Every link on the PDF displays the same message when the linked is left clicked, 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16\WINWORD.EXE' rather than showing the actual path. However, when you click on either of the two links that don't work, the same message box displays but with this, 'C:\Users\or01iw\Desktop\2. MA Eligibility Questionnaire.docx'.

The documents are not actually saved on my C:drive but are instead on a drive that each user can access. This is displayed in the actual link when I click on the links in edit mode but it appears that for some reason, saving the PDF in a different location causes the PDF to try and move the path to the users own space on the server rather than leaving it linking to the shared space where the file is located.

Can anyone suggest what is happening with the two links that stop working and how I might be able to fix the problem?

In attempting to prepare a document for signing using Adobe Online services, Fill & Sign service within Chrome on Android (The default Android browser is incompatible) I am unable to convert .xlsx to .pdf on android tablet and am receiving the following message:

"Could not convert

The file type of "*" is not known and therefore could not be converted to pdf

The uploaded file is missing an extension, please ensure that the uploaded file has the correct extension."

The files have the .xlsx extension and I am accessing them in One Drive but cannot convert any of them.

Any suggestions please?
