What pdf version should I buy to convert my comic book (multiple png images) in one single pdf?

Hi guys,

I have a comic book made of 120 high resolution (300dpi) png images which I want to convert in a single pdf file.

I want to be able to upload all my images at once and rearrange them properly and I also want to be able to set the inside and outside margins and mirroring parameters.

I also want the cheapest option available (just for one month or something...)

What should I buy?

Thanks

odd behavior from link annotations with OC assigned

I'm generating PDFs using a PDFL application I have written. Link annotations are behaving weirdly when they are assigned to an OCMD with the OC key. The behavior differs between Reader and Acrobat.

In Reader the hand tool cursor state responds to the OC state as expected. When the OCMD is enabled the tool shows the link as being active. When clicked the link is highlighted and the link action is executed.. When the OCMD is disabled the cursor shows the link to be inactive. However if the user clicks, the link highlights and the link action is executed!

In Acrobat the link is always active, regardless to the state of the OCMD.

I have a PDF created with a much older version of this application that has links that behave normally. I've had no luck trying to figure out the difference between the PDFs or the code. The fact that the cursor state is correct in at least Reader and correct behavior of OC in general argues that the optional content must be constructed correctly. I can see no significant difference in the annotation dictionaries.

Where else should I be looking? Has anyone ever seen anything like this? Any ideas would be much appreciated.

TIA,

Alan

Acrobat - converting word to PDF: missing text in PDF

My client has word documents they convert to PDF. The document has tables and financial numbers etc. Well when they convert the word document to PDF using Acrobat converter addon in word, the resultant PDF has some numbers missing from one of the cells.

Converting the same document using Acrobat on another workstation does not create the same error, nor does using cutePDF printer. So the issue is local to one workstation. Suggestions?

I've already repair installed acrobat, and updated it to the latest version.

Here's the generated system report.

Acrobat Pro X freezes up for 10-15 seconds shortly after opening PDF

Transferring this discussion from another forum.

I believe my issue may be the same as or similar to http://forums.adobe.com/thread/867133 , but I'm not able to post to that forum.

Running Acrobat 10.1.2 on a fully-patched Windows 7/64 Bit system (Office 2010/32 bit). Antivirus is eSet NOD32 4.0.437.0. I've been having this problem for several versions of Acrobat Pro.

Frequently, when I open a PDF, Acrobat shows the document and is responsive to user action (e.g. scrolling) for a few seconds, and then becomes completely unresponsive for 10-15 seconds, and then is usable again. This happens fairly consistently. Even if I already have Acrobat open, opening a new file causes the same behavior.

Many of the comments on this sort of problem suggest security settings might be an issue.I have tried disabling Enhanced security, disabling "automatically trust sites from my Win OS security zones", disabling "verify signatures when the document is opened", disabling "load security settings from a server", also done "clear remembered account information" for LiveCycle Rights Management. Further disabled everything in advanced settings under Windows Integration. None of these changes have any effect on my problem.

Any suggestions for how to troubleshoot?

Why Adobe Acrobat DC won't combine all excel files together?

Hie all,

I have been using first Adobe XI pro with office 2007 and there was no issue with it in combining all excel files with multiple tabs together to a single binder,

But since upgrading to office 2013 it has been an issue, as i try to combine a few excel files with multiple tabs together to a single binder, it only combines the first sheet and ignore the rest of the sheets in one excel, and this is time consuming in converting all excel sheets manually.

Please Help.

Automatically Convert Images to PDFs

A little background may help. I'm a high school math teacher, teaching 40 students online this year. My students scan their homework daily and upload it to a Google Drive folder.

I spend about an hour every day just converting all the various formats that they upload: GIFs, TIFFs, JPEGs, etc.

I would like a process that automatically does the following:

  1. Scans the folders hourly.
  2. Converts the image file to PDF, leaves the PDF in the same folder as the image with the same name as the image file.
  3. Deletes the image file afterwards.

As I said, I'm doing this manually using Adobe Acrobat. And it's painfully time consuming.

I'm using a Macbook Pro. I've seen some Automator suggestions, but those end up moving all of the converted PDFs to the same folder -- not helpful when you have so many students and the volume of homework I deal with.

Thanks in advance.

Best,

Dale

Creating a button in Acrobat Pro X to add and delete a blank editable page

Hello!

What I would like to do in my PDF is to have an "Add Comment" to add a blank page for additional comments. If the blank page is not needed, I would like to be able to click a "Delete Comment" button on that blank page to delete that page and only have the form.

I know how to set up the Adobe form with form fields and links, the road block is to some how link or "talk" to a button to grab the blank page from file and insert itself in the PDF and to also have it also "talk" to a button on that page to delete itself if that page is not needed. I'm not very familiar with java but all I can come up with is the button talking or it being an action to grab that blank page for more content or to delete it.

Merging 2 large PDFs into 1 document.

I have 2, 4,000 page pdfs. I need to merge these 2 documents into one, so that page 1 of document 1 follows behind page 1 of document 2.

Then page 2 of document 1 follows behind page 2 of document 2. and so on...

Does anyone know the easiest way to do this. I know how to merge 2 documents together...but the pages need to be merged in order.

PLEASE HELP!

I've searched online for an answer, but can't find anything.  I jus started noticing that when I save a Word doc (2011 for Mac) to a PDF, the links in my document no longer work in the PDF.

Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?

Advice on the topic of creating PDF versions of Construction Drawings

I have a copy of Acrobat XI. I would like to convert my native CAD file to a multi-paged PDF file.  The person who will be viewing this file has a very high resolution monitor. They would like the file saved in a manner which will provide maximum screen viewing resolution and high resolution printer output. Can someone point me in the direction of some online instructions covering what PDF settings would best produce my desired output?  I'm working in a PC environment. Thanks

Does Acrobat XI paste-in-place?

It's been a long standing gripe that when you cut and paste elements from one PDF into another that the precise position is lost. Illustrator and InDesign both support this feature. Has this been addressed in the XI version?
