I have an Illustrator CS6 file with open paths and aligned end points.
When I create a PDF using Acrobat the end points are automatically closed (joined) and a mitre is applied which results in an awkward looking sharp edge to the line.
A good example of this would.be the letter N made of 3 separate paths.
If I create a PDF from Illustrator the paths are left open, et voila, no mitred corners!
How can I avoid this behaviour when using Acrobat to generate the PDF?
I got a note that Acrobat DC updated this morning. I now have two Adobe PDF printers on my system -- the second one is called "Adobe PDF (Copy 1)". If I try to print with the original "Adobe PDF" printer, it no longer works at all.
If I try to print OXPS files using "Adobe PDF (Copy 1)" -- which is something I used to do all the time -- the text becomes complete gibberish.
Adobe has broken something and it needs to be fixed. Everything was fine yesterday.
I've created a number of evaluation forms in Adobe, and having a minor issue with some of the calculation boxes.
In a nutshell, I've got a box at the bottom of the form that calculates a number based upon the ratings from four other boxes in the form. However when I change one of the four boxes to a different number, the bottom calculation box does not change, unless I delete what is in there and click off to the side, at which point it calculates the new rating.
This wouldn't be a huge issue, but this is one of six similar forms, where the other forms automatically update the overall rating box, when one of the other rating boxes is changed and I click off to the side.
I'm a bit lost because all of the calculations are copied from other forms, so I don't understand why it works on one form, and not the other.
Is this just an issue we have to deal with, or is there something I missed. If anyone can help, i'm happy to share the forms for review.

When I open Change Conversion Settings from Acrobat tab in Outlook, PDFMaker error appears saying "One or more page dimensions are out of range".
But the settings window opens. And the page dimensions indeed are very high, 2100 by 2970 cm.
The main problem is when I try to edit these numerical fields the values always increase by "00".
So e.g. when I type 21 and change focus to the next field those 21 become 2100, and when I activate this field again it become 210000, and so on till the maximum available value achieved.
Looks like a bug in PDFMaker.
Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 15.016.20039, MS Office Outlook 2016 (latest updates), Win 7 x64 (latest updates).

I am using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro on a Windows 10 PC. The program was re-installed to this PC in Nov. 2015 after replacing a Windows 7 PC. I'm uncertain as to whether this is the correct place in the forums, if not, feel free to move it
The problem I am having is that the Preflight dialog box is unreadable. The height of the spaces containing the labels of the various elements is too short causing the text to be concealed almost totally (see screen capture below). My display is currently set at 3820 x 2160 (recommended). I have already attempted to resolve this with various display setting changes to no avail. The software is up-to-date.
None of the other tool dialogs exhibit this issue in this program.
One other program I had wouldn't display properly either and I had to uninstall it because there was no work-around. I hope that is not the case with this one because I paid dearly for it. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Sorry if I'm sending this twice, but I don't know if my previous message was received. I need to delete an old scanner and add a new one on Acrobat 8.3.1 on a Macbook Pro. Even though the old printer has been deinstalled, it still shows as the only option when I try and create a PDF from scanner. Any ideas?

I'm not sure this is the right forum, but I cannot find any one which appears more suitable. I'm having problem with Acrobat X Pro. Everything works fine, but it randomly happens that the icons on the top menu bars disappears when I drag the mouse pointer over them. Once this thing starts I cannot use anymore Acrobat and the only way to restore it is to kill the program (End the task from the Windows task manager). Can anybody help ?
The problem is with the A4 scanning documents not selectable. Whenever I have to acquire an A4 document I have to put in the parameters:
Improves acquisition / crop page / change page size. The A4 is grayed out so I have to fill out by hand: top = 0; lower = 58.52; left 2.99; 3. Right Action can be taken to make it more practical?
I have a word.doc that will be converted into a pdf document. I expect to have about 100 different recipients for this identical document. However, I want to personalize each pdf by including the name of the recipient. How can I change the pdf document for the personalization rather than redoing the word.doc everytime and converting into pdf. There is a specific section where I would want to insert the name of the recipient. But open for other ways. Thanks.
I have a total field that I would like certain buttons to show or hide based on the value of total field.
When creating a PDF from scratch, I have been trying to create a signature field that can be filled out from a tablet on the go. It will be from a tablet with my Adobe information, but I want a client to be able to sign this signature field with a stylus on the fly.
All of my attempts to create this signature field have failed, as the software seems to only let me sign my own information from a pre-made signature template.
The Adobe chat support told me they do not answer questions about tablets. Very disappointing.
Adobe also said they do not offer me phone support due to my level of subscription with Adobe. Also extremely off-putting.
Can someone help provide me some direction?
Good morning, I finished a free trial of DC a month or so back and chose not to continue with it. Recently the original Adobe program included with my system has stopped the printing function. I receive a notice that the printing function is no longer available unless I buy the upgrade which I don't wish to do. how do I revert back to the free version of Adobe I previously had? Thank you.

When I use Acrobat X Pro to create PDFs, the PDF file shows up as blue grid background instead of plain white background. How can I change this to create regular PDF files on white background?
Hello, I am new to Adobe Acrobat DC and I am trying to add shapes to the PDF but the objects menu is grayed out? Is there a way to add different shapes to the document that you can type text in as well? Thanks
Greetings: I save some webpages via PDF files. I go Firefox Add-on "Convert Web Page to Adobe PDF" and then it pops up the PDF of the page. Some webpages do not save in a visually pleasing way, is this a converting problem? Or simply the way some sites are coded? Bloomberg.com homepage for example gets scrambled. 11.0.16
All of the sudden (new release?) the "Create scanned PDF from black & white document" quick tool icon is non functional.
Same problem with the "Create scanned PDF from color document" quick tool icon.
The only icon that works now is the "Create scanned PDF using custom scanner settings" quick tool icon.
I've had these quick tools for a long time and they always worked until now.
I deleted the quick tools and re-inserted them, still no functionality. If I mouse over them they color up, but don't initiate anything when clicked.
I can scan by clicking on the custom scan quick tool, and then selecting the pre-defined option below, but this defeats the purpose of having a quick tool for that predefined setting!
Perhaps related, the two nonfunctional quick tools now default to "append to existing document." How can I change that default? If I uncheck that box in the settings of either of these predefined scan functions, the "save" bar at the top stays grey. Is this the source of the problem above since I hadn't selected a target document to append to (because I don't want to append)?? Or is this a separate issue?
I have 1500 emails I need to turn into a PDF. Half of these emails have attachments that are .txt files. I need to create a file with the email and associated txt attachments as one flat PDF. Right now I can create the email PDF and the attachments are attached to the PDF as txt files. I need them to show as a PDF as well so that various parties can print them, in order, without having to try and figure out which attachment goes where.
I am using Acrobate Pro version 9.5.1 on a Windows 7 64 bit machine.
Once I have created a PDF, I find I am unable to move or delete the file. If I reboot the machine, I can delete or move the file, but as soon as I open a PDF, the problem is back until I reboot again.
It appears others have had the same problem, but I don't see any solutions. Does anyone have any suggestions or workarounds?
