Apologies if this is covered in another thread (they all seem to relate to pre-DC stuff). I have 100s of PDF files that I want to batch OCR/text recognise so that I can easily search for particular words across all of the files. Acrobat 8 used to allow this. Having just installed DC Mac I cannot find a way to start such a batch operation. It seems that you have to 'edit' each PDF, one at a time, which is going to take ages. I'm sure I've just missed something, as I can't believe Adobe would remove such an obviously useful feature. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Thanks

cannot create pdf from right-click menu and in acrobat pro DC
OS: windows 10
acrobat pro DC 15.016.20039
when I choose "Convert to Adobe PDF" from right-click menu to convert word or excel files to pdf, an error message is shown "Unable to find "Adobe PDF" Printer or "Acrobat Distiller" printer. Do you want to run the installer in repair mode?"
even I ran the repair mode, I saw the same error message again.
I then try to create pdf from acrobat pro DC, another error message is shown "Unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource files. Do you want to run the installer in repair mode?"
again, even I ran the repair mode, I saw the same error message!
I reinstall acrobat pro DC, but the same problem happened again!

Error message when using DC to scan and enhance.
I keep getting the following message when using Acrobat DC to scan and enhance a paper document from my Epson 3640 scanner. Here's the error message: "an error was encountered while running scanned image optimization. Aborting scanning operation."
Hyperlinks attached to images within Word do not convert.
I use Microsoft Word 2010 with Adobe Acrobat DC.
I have a Word document with an image in it and a hyperlink from this image to another place in the document. On conversion using Acrobat this hyperlink does not work. Other hyperlinks within the document that are not part of an image work fine. I have tried to amend the settings but nothing has resolved the issue.
Cannot save hyperlinks from Word 2000
Hi, I use Microsoft Word 2000 and Adobe Acrobar XI Pro on WIndows 8.1. I must convert a Word file (.doc) to a pdf file and want to save the hyperlinks. Unfortunately, after converting the file into a pdf file the links don't work.
For instance, I opened Adobe Acrobat, clicked on create, clicked on create pdf from a file and chose the Word file. But it doesn`t work.
If I open the folder with the doc.file right click on the doc.file and click on convert into adobe pdf, the links will not be saved, too.
I also tried to edit the pdf file in Acrobat afterwards and insert the links again, but don't see a possibility to hyperlink only some specific words or sentences.
What can I do now?
Newbie: I want to create marketing documents for social media. Where to start?
I am a small business owner with little prior experience of the adobe family of products. I want to create marketing posters and materials to place around our retail location. Right now what I have in mind is a social media "follow us" poster and / or table tent with a heading of "Follow us:" followed by a list of social media icons (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, GooglePlus, LinkedIn, etc) and our various social media account details.
Are there any acrobat templates ready made for this? If so, where would I find them?

When I print my MS Publisher document it comes out printed on one side of the paper only. Before, when I sent it to the printer, and then viewed it on screen it appeared on both sides of the paper, in other words when I scroll down the document was continuous, now there is a blank page between each printed page! How can I get Acrobat to print on both sides for the paper?
Print to PDF
First some background on the issue. All of our employees use the most up to date version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Our employees get excel documents that are about 10-17 pages long. They take each individual page and from the excel document and use the print option "Print to PDF". Some of the pages "Print to PDF" successfully and can be opened using Adobe Acrobat. But one or two of these pages when you try to open them give the following message:
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC could not open (FileName) because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
I tried to recreate the problem on a different system and was successful. Page 13 of the same document when using the the "Print to PDF" printer option creates the file as a .PDF but you can not open it and it displayed the aforementioned message.
Any help on this would be much appreciated.
No longer able to print to PDF from applications?
Out of the blue (or maybe following a Windows update!) it seems I am no longer able to print to a PDF from any application, The choice to do so is no longer on the printer drop down menu. It always was before. I could print from Excel (or any other program) to a PDF or even print a PDF with form fields to a new PDF that did not have the form fields accessible.
Anyone know how to get the print to PDF feature back?
Error message when saving a PDF "The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder." I have Mac OSX 10.11.1 and Adobe Acrobat X Pro. Everything worked fine until yesterd
Also, when trying to save as a JPEG it says I'm out of disk space. It saves when I choose my desktop instead of a folder I'm using... It appears this all started after updating my Mac OSX. Acrobat is up to date and has worked perfectly fine for 2 years.
How to create a copy/pasta-able column?
Hi!
I want to create a pdf with column containing 8 rows. This is actually for customer questions. After editing the pdf (-> writing come questions into the columns) I want to copy paste this column into excel so I have the information into rows as they are in the pdf. I want to avoid any formatting in excel. Is this possible?
All I could achive yet was to set one box in pdf and copy that into excel but I had to format this afterwards in excel.
Any help would be very appreciated!
While exporting .docx file to .pdf on iMac field functions (such as page numbers, references...) are display as static text - error?!!
When I try to export a .docx-file as .pdf the formatting is displayes as original field function. Instead of diplaying any page number the pdf shows "{PAGE}", for example.
I am working with Word from Office 365 on a iMac with OS X El Capitan.
Any help? Why is it not possible to create a proper pdf ISO/a file??
Why? When I want to print a PDF it won't let me and makes me only download it or save it?
Why? When I open a PDF file and click to print, it always makes me download and save it and doesn't let me print it at all. I'm thinking it has to be in the settings to change it somehow but i'm not sure how?
