I have the following features:

Windows 7

Acrobat X (Complete Installation)

And when I try to convert a document the following error msg appears: "Adobe had an error converting to PDF"

I have been repaired, updated and even reinstalled the program, but the same error persists.

I have been enable and disabled the Javascript on edit settings, but nothing change.

Could you advice please?

Cannot save pdf since windows 10 update

Since Windows 10 updated a few days ago, I cannot save pdfs. A save pdf dialog box opens, but remains blank. The save button on the toolbar is faded and cannot be used. I can open files and edit them. I have tried a number of different pdf files. I had the problem in both Acrobat Pro and the reader. I have uninstalled both and reinstalled accrobat pro, but still can't save. Any ideas?

"One or more pages are in use and could not be deleted" - AGAIN.

  1. Open a PDF file.
  2. Save it under a different name
  3. Try to delete a page

You'll get this error:

"One or more pages are in use and could not be deleted"

I've had this billions of times now and the only solution that works 100% of the time is closing and re-opening the file. This leads me to believe it's something with "locking" the file while saving, but not unlocking it after done saving.

GET THIS FIXED PLEASE because it's annoying LOADS and LOADS of people.

As evident by the 7000+ search results for the exact phrase "One or more pages are in use and could not be deleted".

And that's just the part of the userbase that actually reports the problem.

There are several topics about this issue, some marked as "solved" erroneously.

Note, I'm a paying customer, use Photoshop/Illustrator/Dreamweaver/Fireworks and Bridge during my daily work, and have had this issue for months and months across several different computers (two different workplaces, and at home) and have ran into this time and again, when all I want to do is cut a PDF into several smaller PDFs.

Closing and re-opening your program because you're unable to fix this issue is NOT ACCEPTABLE. It's THE WORST kind of user experience, as this issue is the ONLY reason I use Acrobat at all, and it can't even do that.

Cheers,

- Dirk

Ps.: Sorry, I'm very frustrated running into this time and again, and then having to wade through thick mud (your site is a UX nightmare) to report this issue, which has been report oodles of times on this board before.

Text box border disappears when opened in Mac Preview

So I'm creating a PDF on a MAC using Acrobat Pro DC. The PDF has numerous fillable forms which have a border.  However, if the PDF is opened on a Mac using Mac Preview, and the user types in something, then saves it, then reopens it, the border disappears.

Is this a known issue? I'm confused how to get around this. I've even created a blank PDF, went into forms, added a text box, put a border, saved it, opened it in Mac Preview and the same issue happens, the border disappears.

Even though the few above steps are what I'm doing, I've uploaded a PDF that has a text box with a border.

How do i change the font i am viewing in?

I am using Acrobat 9 and all of a sudden last week every pdf I open all the text is automatically changed to this horrible font (one I never use!).  It doesn't matter if its a document I have created, or one that someone has emailed to me or one that I open online.  All pdf's when opened are defaulting to this crazy font and I know for a fact its not the font the document was created in.  I thought when you created a document in pdf, or converted a doc to pdf that the fonts were 'locked in'.

Please help me change the view back to how the document was created - its driving me nuts!

How do I add white space between areas that contain text fields?

I’m using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC  2015.

I’m trying to edit an existing PDF. I need to add white space between areas that contain text fields to allow those text fields to be expanded and not overlap the existing text and the text fields below.

For example:

  1. 1.

Progress/Strategies:

  1. 2.

Progress/Strategies:

  1. 3.

Progress/Strategies:

  1. 4.

Progress/Strategies:

The space between each “Progress/Strategies” needs to be increased. A text field is underneath each one. If it was a Word doc, I could just press enter. What is the easiest way to achieve this with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC?

Can't create PDF from webpage?

Acrobat Pro DC application on Windows 10 PC, both updated.  From a webpage using Edge browser's printing function, select Printer as "Adobe PDF," then Print (seems to be working), then name file or accept automatic naming and Save.  But, no file is created in the designated folder or elsewhere?  Webpages do contain text (checked by copy and paste test).  Please help and thanks in advance for any responses.

Adobe PDF Conversion Toolbar in IE11 not loading all content into PDF

$

In the past I used to be able to create 99% of my PDFs with all content included with the help of the Adobe PDF Conversion Toolbar in Internet Explorer 11. (Win7)

In other words, all text and photos/images were included in the resultant PDF.

Now, it's completely the other way around. 100% of webpages I'm trying to create PDFs of are missing all of their images.

Which settings in Windows 7, IE11, Window Firewall, etc do I need to change to make the conversion tool word properly again so I can see images in the resultant PDFs?

It used to work perfectly, now it doesn't, which means the system, not me, changed something.

I want it changed back.

Note: I'm not using the Print menu in IE but the special Convert button in the PDF toolbar.

When I use the Print function the layout of the resultant PDF is completely different to the one created by the conversion toolbar.

After I click the Convert button in the IE11 toolbar, a message box is displayed with the following:

Some of the content in this page was not available for download.

In some cases, this means that the resulting PDF may not look exactly like the original web page.

This problem renders the tool completely useless which is a huge waste of money as this was one of the main reasons I bought Adobe Acrobat X Pro.

I'm not prepared to buy the latest Acrobat just to get a toolbar back. That's preposterous!

Feasibility question: extracting information from fields in PDF

I'm exploring options for gathering responses to a PDF form.  User-entered fields are created, the user saves the completed form as a PDF, and emails the form back.  Can the user-entered data entered into the fields be extracted into an electronic format?  I hate the very idea of retying the user-entered data to get it into electronic form.  For now, the question is "can this be done - extract the user-entered data into an electronic format?"  If possible, then I can start exploring format, etc.

Adobe PDF Toolbar missing in Firefox 46.0.1?

I own Adobe CS6 Master Collection.

The Adobe PDF Toolbar use to work in Firefox but now it's missing completely and not even listed in the Add-ons, Extensions or Plugins areas.

This has nothing to do with the Adobe PDF Reader or DC Reader or whatever you call it.

No, I don't want to install a Reader.

It's a toolbar that get's installed with the full version of Adobe Acrobat X Pro in IE and Firefox for creating PDFs of web pages.

Where did it go in Firefox?

Why isn't it being displayed?

How do I get it back?

I paid for a product, I expect it to be there.

Simple.

If it's some security issue with my version of Acrobat being old, I expect Adobe to fix it.

I'm not buying the whole suite just to get the toolbar back, you've got to be kidding.

Font turns extremely sharp/edgy since one of the latest Acrobat Updates

Version: Adobe Acrobat DC 15.017.20053

Winver: 1511 (10586.545)

Recently I noticed that all my PDFs including externally received PDFs are viewed overly sharp (with default fonts like Arial). It looks extremely ugly at div. magnification levels, better at 100% but still spacing looks weird.

Happend on two different devices (PC and Laptop). In my memory, the PDFs always looked better. Word documents and other texts (like here) look way better. What could be the cause? Did not make any relevant system changes lately.
